🐪The Resilience Reset Retreat🐪
I first have to say what a gift it was to have taught yoga, photograph, and DJ for a retreat in Morocco. Quite literally the three pillars of my work and my livelihood (sound, art, and movement), and something I have asked for and dreamed of for years. The things I would write about in my journal.
This retreat was created by @emilieonthemove, who I am so grateful to have met online then in person in a foreign country😂 The faith we had in each other was quite impressive honestly. But we both knew from the jump that we were going to be an excellent team. I am so inspired by Emilie’s skills and tenacity in doing the work and spreading the wealth of her knowledge with others.
What made this experience particularly unique is that I also got to be a participant in many of the activities. We went deep into breathwork, explored tapping, sound therapy, kirtan, morning card pulls and sharing circles. It was more challenging than I anticipated. A lot came to the surface that I suppressed for a long time. It’s funny how sometimes we don’t realize the amount of things we bury that need some attention, care, and untangling. I will be the first to admit that I like to come off as strong, unbothered, optimistic, etc. Perhaps you can see where I’m going with this. Feeling my feelings, loving my imperfections, speaking my truth, being open to receive. The main lessons that hit me time and time again.
The retreat is also special because it has 12 weeks of programming and coaching that follows. So far it’s been wonderful to have the consistency, community, and accountability for real integration of these lessons.
The you to Emilie for having me and to our incredible group who opened their hearts and minds to what this experience had to offer.
